Appledore Shoot,

Situated by the banks of the picturesque river Lynher in East Cornwall, 10 miles north of Plymouth, we are a small friendly syndicate shoot.  The shoot is based around Appledore Farm but also includes large areas of adjacent woodland both deciduous and conifer.

For the first time we are offering safe shots the chance to join 9 local regulars shooting alternate Saturdays for £180 per day,no tips no extras, (£1400 for all 8). You can expect an average of 50 pheasants with some woodcock and pigeon later in the season. Snipe are seen but few are shot!

Three or four drives followed by coffee and cake, two more before lunch and 3 or 4 after depending on the light guarantee lots of exercise, fresh air and a good appetite. We are not a posh shoot so bring a pasty for lunch, join the beaters for a glass of wine and a chat but above all enjoy the day. Dogs, under control, are welcome.

The birds are not all high but with a variety of drives over steeply sloping fields, through mature conifers and snap shooting in the rides the mix is testing enough for most competent shots.
