Calvert Trust Exmoor enables people with physical, sensory and learning difficulties of all ages and levels of ability, together with their families & friends, to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable outdoor activity adventure holidays.
Located in an area of outstanding beauty on the edge of Exmoor National Park, a short distance from the North Devon Coast, our fully accessible, AALA registered centre offers fully catered accommodation, and a wide range of adventurous activities including sailing, climbing, horse ridding, wheelchair abseiling, archery and kayaking.
Accredited to both the AHOEC gold standard and the CLOtC quality award, all activities at Calvert Trust Exmoor are on-site, and are specifically designed and equipped to be accessible to all. Our highly experienced instructors are qualified by national governing bodies such as the BCU, RYA and BHS, and are specially trained to work with disabled individuals.

We have 19 ensuite rooms, split into single, twin and triple rooms. The rooms feature single beds, with electric beds in several rooms, ensuite level entry shower rooms with toilet facilities.
The apartments can be hired on a fully or self catered basis.

Our specialist equipment enables all abilities to take part in activities.
Our accommodation is also fully accessible with ensuite level entry shower rooms and accessible bathrooms are available (although not ensuite). Throughout the building we have widened doors and corridors, electric doors and lifts to the upper floors. All rooms are fitted with Menvicall alarms linked to reception during the day and to the duty instructor in the evenings. In addition, we have a wide range of specialist equipment for our visitors which can be reserved prior to visiting.
How to find us
Leave the M5 at Junction 27, turn on to the A361 to Barnstaple.
Follow the A361 for 25 miles.
At North Aller Roundabout take the third exit onto the A399. This will be signposted to Blackmoor Gate, Brayford & Lynton. (There is a restaurant just after the first exit on the roundabout). Follow the A399 for 11 miles. When you pass Exmoor Zoo on your left you know that you are a mile or so away. Take a left turn (just after a parking layby on the left). This is signposted Calvert Trust Exmoor and Wistlandpound Reservoir.
Follow this road for approx. ½ a mile. Calvert Trust Exmoor is on your left.
