Phil & Heather Roberts provide fit, well mannered horses for exempt hunting with The Devon & Somerset Staghounds, Exmoor Foxhounds & The Dulverton West Foxhounds.
All our horses are beautifully turned out, delivered to meets and picked up at the end of your days hunting, whenever possible a knowledgeable escort is provided.
Exmoor is traditionally a non-jumping country but a wide diversity of country can be covered during a days hunting - miles of open Heather moorland, steep combes & deep wooded river valleys - the best way to see the stunning Exmoor National Park.
Phil & Heather are very keen to encourage 'Hunting Virgins' experienced riders who havn't yet tried it, although a good level of competence & fitness is still required.
Westcountry hunting is a truly inclusive (not exclusive) fieldsport, enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Advice on hunt dress etiquette given.
The Exmoor hunting season starts at the beginning of August & finishes end of April.
Hunt cap is additional & varies from hunt to hunt.

We had an absolutely fabulous day on hirelings provided by Heather & Phil. The horses were matched perfectly to our abilities and immaculately turned out. Phil & Heather provided a calm and reassuring presence throughout the day explaining about the hunting as we went along. Highly recommended.
