January Industry Newsletter - Applying for Investment Funds

We have been busy this month advising rural businesses around the region about the investment fund opportunities that are available from the Country Sports South West project. Tourism businesses looking to enhance, expand or development their country sport facilities are able to apply for these funds.

Investment updates

Below are just a few of the project investments to give businesses an idea about what type of facilities could be eligible for the funding.

Installation of gun cabinets for accommodation businesses

The project has invested in quite a few gun cabinets recently for rural accommodation businesses which will benefit them when targeting the shooting visitor. The support doesn't stop there, our development officers will also work with accommodation businesses to identify their local shoots and help to link them together which will maximise their offering to the country sports visitor.

Training Room Equipment

The project has invested in training room equipment for a deer management course company to enable the business to enhance their facilities, which will help to attract more clients.

Event stand facilities

The project has recently invested in a game food company looking to enhance their stand facilities. This included a vacuum packer / griddle / table and expert advice to assist in their company branding.  

Flight pond

A new flight pond creation has been invested in to enable a shoot to offer more opportunities to their clients.
