Members of Dorset Wildfowling Association enjoy opportunities to participate in various activities in Poole Harbour and the surrounding Dorset countryside. Our focus is on wildfowling, about which you can found out more in our Wildfowling pages, including information about Membership and Fees.

Rough Shooting

Members of DWA manage a small number of rough shooting syndicates. They are a varied mixture of rough shooting, walk-and-stand days and even some duck flighting. They are open to members only and waiting lists vary in length. On each syndicate you can expect to get involved in work parties - so there's something to do all year round (additional syndicate fees apply). Opportunities for beating may also exist.

Conservation

Scheduled working parties in Poole Harbour and on land in mid-Dorset owned by DWA.

Big Bore and Small Bore Shooting

Monthly opportunities for small-bore at Canford School and full bore at East Holme (additional range fees apply).

Pest Control

There is a small charge of £5 to join the DWA Pest Control section, to cover things like the Pest Officer's telephone calls to participants. Members are able, at the invitation of local farms and estates, to assist with fox and vermin control as requested. There are a mixture of weekend and mid-week opportunities.
