Amalwhidden Farm coarse fishery consists of three lakes set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Towednack, only 3 miles from St. Ives on the edge of the Penwith Moors.
This quiet lake is very well stocked with carp well over 30lb with a good head of 20's. The lake record is a 46lb mirror carp caught in 2007.
The Batherm is a small brown trout and grayling stream that enters the main River Exe just upstream of Cove.
This charming beat provides brown trout fishing, and was described by Mike Weaver as "fishing in Lilliput".
Located just downstream from Essebeare, this shortish beat contains riffles, runs and several good pools. Trout water, with fish in the 6-10" range, with the odd larger fish to 15" (an exceptional fish of 2Żlbs was caught in 2001).
