Completely refurbished, Tor Royal is a luxury Dartmoor Bed and Breakfast offering double and twin en-suite rooms, with a choice of bath or shower, furnished with period furniture. We also have a ground floor room decorated in Art Deco style.
After Breakfast there is Dartmoor on your doorstep. We can provide a packed lunch if you are keen walkers or point you in the direction of a good local inn.
Book a trek on one of our hardy horses or ponies and enjoy a trek out over Dartmoor or visit nearby historic towns and cities - Plymouth, the home of Plymouth Gin and from where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed - and Tavistock, ancient stannary town and home of Sir Francis Drake, the nearby Buckland Abbey once his grand residence.
Royal Riding Getaways: Do you want to enjoy riding over the same moorland as Royal Princes and their consorts have done in the past, we can offer a real treat wether you are an experienced rider or just want to experiance riding for the first time.
The small family run trekking stable has BHS qualified staff. Our hardy horses and ponies are used to riding out over Dartmoor. They are regularly used for gathering our sheep and cattle off the moorland commons when not enjoying your company.

We can provide riding helmets conforming to current legal requirements.
Shoes or boots should have a small heel, trainers and some wellingtons are not suitable. We do have a small selection of boots for loan.
